Job description

Provide a defined level of CAMHS specialist assessment and interventions through an assertive outreach model to a diverse and challenging group of young people and their families who present with significant mental health difficulties and are open to the Youth Justice System. This includes young people with co-existing substance use difficulties, Harmful Sexual Behaviour, First Episode Psychosis, and At Risk Mental State.

A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use are required for this post; however, reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

The CAMHS HEAD 2 HEAD team is looking to recruit two experienced, enthusiastic, and committed CAMHS Mental Health Workers. The post holder must be an experienced and skilled CAMHS Practitioner with expertise in providing specialist CAMHS assessment and intervention, and with knowledge and interest in working with young people involved in the Youth Justice service, those with co-existing substance use difficulties, Harmful Sexual Behaviour, First Episode Psychosis, and At Risk Mental State.

Please note that applicants will need to pay for their DBS check. The cost, £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), will be deducted from salary over the first two months. Applicants are encouraged to enroll in the DBS Update Service, which has an annual fee of £16.
