Job summary

A UK-based educational institution is seeking a Specialist Learning Mentor to support students with Special Educational Needs in both classroom and one-on-one settings. The successful candidate will assist with administrative tasks related to student progress and retention, and will be key in mentoring designated students. Required qualifications include relevant certifications in Specific Learning Difficulties and strong communication skills. This role is on-site in Royal Leamington Spa with a starting salary between £15,118 and £16,137.97 per annum.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate English and Maths skills equivalent to Level 2.
• A qualification relevant to Specific Learning Difficulties at Level 2 or above.
• Previous experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition.
• Experience of coaching and motivating learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 mentoring support to identified students in class and outside.
• Assist class lecturers in preparing materials for named students.
• Promote independent learning through technology use.
• Act as key worker for designated students to support their outcomes.
