Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a specialist CAMHS practitioner to be co‑located with Bolton Integrated Front Door.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team, represent Mental Health Services and possess knowledge of mental‑health law and children’s statutory services.
  • Recognise, promote and support consultation methods to ascertain potential or reported Mental Health, Emotional Health or behavioural needs, and signpost appropriately using Thrive‑aligned structures and services.
  • Promote and support service delivery for Children and Young People with Mental Health and Emotional Health needs, providing guidance, teaching and specialist knowledge to families/carers and other professional colleagues.
  • Understand and have specialist knowledge of the statutory guidance "Working Together to Safeguard Children".
  • Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary way to promote children’s Mental Health and Emotional Health, achieving quality improvement to support the implementation of joint improved care pathways.
  • Contribute to holistic care planning for children and young people.
  • Develop a quality assurance plan to review the efficacy and impact of the specialist role.
  • Contribute to multi‑agency assessment and planning for young people who are at risk to themselves or others (e.g., join strategy meetings and work across Integrated Front Door and CAMHS).
