Academics, local education agency are hiring: Special Needs Teaching Assistant Primary School work to work across South Yorkshire. Full/part time roles available and flexible supply roles. Helping Education and Training across Sheffield.

We are looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants Primary to join our caring, committed team of supply staff here at Academics. This is more than just a job. About the Role: To support class teacher, promoting students independence & wellbeing. No two days are the same. From helping with daily routines & personal care to encouraging social engagement & supporting activities, you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of the people we support.

Key Responsibilities: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant Primary

* Provide tailored support based on individual needs & EHCP.
* Encourage & participate in meaningful activities, both in the home & the community
* Build strong, trusting relationships with local Primary clients of Academics
* Maintain accurate records & communicate effectively with the team

About You: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant Primary

* Kind, patient, & understanding. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
* A genuine interest in working with individuals with Autism
* Experience in working with children and in a school environment is needed.
* Preferably Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Cache Level 3 qualification to be held.
* Enhanced DBS needed (or willingness to put one in place)
