Job Description:

ASAP starts

We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work at our schools throughout Wandsworth and Merton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupil learning through the delivery of specific learning programmes, setting high expectations whilst encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Mentor students 1:1, planning and leading booster and intervention sessions for difficult topics.
  • Observe, record, and feedback on pupil performance.
  • Assist in behaviour management and support pupils' learning objectives in liaison with teachers.
  • Promote inclusion and encourage collaborative work among pupils.
  • Adapt resources for EAL and SEND pupils to ensure safety and curriculum access.
  • Assist in creating materials for curriculum delivery and display boards.
  • Right to work in UK.
  • Passion for and belief in every pupil's potential.
  • Continuous professional development.
  • Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or willingness to pay for one.
  • Experience working with children in tutoring or classroom settings.
  • Experience managing children in formal settings.
  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above.
  • Certified teaching assistant course or willingness to undertake one.

Pay rates include holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanent roles later.
