Job summary

A growing energy services company in Brighouse is looking for Solar Panel Roofers / Installers for permanent full-time positions. You will be responsible for installing roof-mounted solar PV systems, carrying out essential roofing tasks, and supporting Electricians during installations. Ideal candidates have experience in roofing, strong health & safety knowledge, and experience with solar PV systems is a plus. This role offers a competitive salary of £37,000 per year and benefits including training and a company van.

Qualifications

• Previous experience installing Solar PV Systems is an advantage but not essential.
• Proven experience as a Roofer with strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
• Full UK Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Installing roof-mounted solar PV systems using various mounting systems.
• Carrying out essential roofing tasks and waterproofing for installations.
• Running cables/conduit and collaborating with PV Electricians.
• Supporting Electrician with commissioning Battery Storage and Charging Systems.
• Upholding safety procedures whilst delivering professional customer experience.

What will you be doing?

• Installing roof-mounted solar PV systems using various mounting systems, adhering to roofing best practice guides throughout.
• Carry out essential roofing tasks such as slate and tile removal or replacement, flashing work, waterproofing and general maintenance to ensure long‑lasting installations.
• Running the cables/conduit and working alongside the PV Electricians, and other team members to deliver efficient and safe installations for the clients.
• Supporting the Electrician with the commissioning of the Battery Storage and Charging Systems.
• Upholding safety procedures at all times whilst maintaining a professional customer experience.

What Should You Have?

• Previous experience installing Solar PV Systems on residential or commercial properties would be an advantage, but not essential.
• Proven experience as a Roofer with strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
• The ability to work as part of a team and excellent communication skills.
• Completed an apprenticeship or traineeship approved by SVQ.

For this role it is also required that you should have a Full UK Driver’s License.
