Solar Electrician

Location: UK (site-based) Job Type: Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Solar Electrician to install, test, and commission solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties. The role requires working safely at height, following UK electrical and health & safety regulations, and ensuring high-quality system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and connect solar PV systems to the electrical network
• Wire inverters, batteries, and control systems
• Carry out testing, commissioning, and fault diagnosis
• Ensure compliance with MCS standards, building regulations, and H&S requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide handover guidance to clients

Requirements

• Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with solar PV experience
• Knowledge of UK electrical regulations and MCS standards
• Ability to work at height and in outdoor environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence preferred

Desirable Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Award in Solar PV Installation
• CSCS/ECS card
