Locum Social Worker – Adults Safeguarding Team
Job Location: Gloucestershire, UK
Salary: £35 Per Hour Salary Type: Hourly

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Adults Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team at Shire Hall in Gloucester on an ongoing 3-month contract. For the first two weeks, you will participate in a robust induction at the office, followed by a requirement to be in the Gloucester office 3 days a week. We are seeking three Social Workers with substantial experience in Adult Social Care and safeguarding work for this temporary role. As a full-time or part-time locum, you will undertake the assessment of referrals via our portal and provide support to our screening officers in decision-making. You will also manage open safeguarding cases through the screening and closure process.

What you will do:

  • Conduct initial risk assessments on referrals received through the safeguarding portal.
  • Support screening officers by making informed decisions about the progression of referrals as safeguarding concerns.
  • Manage ongoing safeguarding cases, handling the screening and closure processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordinated responses to safeguarding issues.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practice procedures within the Safeguarding Team.
