Overview

Vacancy Ref: 352. Location: Westbury/Dilton Marsh. Hours: Flexible hours and shifts but must be available for some evenings and weekends. A minimum commitment of 20 hours per month will be required. Pay rate: Excellent rates of pay including a starting rate of £19.50 per hour for weekends. Holiday: 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time). Driving licence: Yes. DBS check: Yes - will be funded by the employer.

About the role

A bit about me: We are looking for a relief Personal Assistant to join our friendly happy team to look after our fun loving 31 year old son who has profound learning disabilities and epilepsy. He lives in his own home with 24 hour care with 2 carers at all times. He loves to go to hydro and swimming and enjoys trips out to sensory rooms, Longleat, local parks and the cinema.

  • Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
  • He will need someone to carry out all his personal care, including bathing, dressing, help with drinking, cleaning his teeth and administering his medication.
  • He needs kind attentive people in his team to keep him safe. Constant supervision is required to ensure he doesn’t put dangerous things in his mouth or touches dangerous objects.
  • He needs carers to help him have a fun and active life and who can be creative- coming up with plans and ideas he will enjoy.
