Sister/Charge Nurse - Fracture Clinic Band 7

The post holder will have overall Clinical responsibility for the Fracture Clinic in Craigavon area hospital, providing clinical leadership and support to a mixed skill Acute Nursing Team. He/she will ensure a high quality service is provided to patients and their families in line with clinical governance. The post holder will fulfil general management responsibilities ensuring the coordination of high quality, patient focused care, the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programs and standards of care, effective multi-professional teamwork, effective communication and collaboration with other departments, the primary and secondary health care teams and external agencies and the efficient deployment and supervision of staff on a 24 hour basis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure practice reflects the standards set in the NMC code of professional conduct: standards for conduct, performance and ethics.

• Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the live NMC Register.
