Job Title

Sister/Charge Nurse – Band 6 – 32.25 hours per week.

Overview

The Integrated Assessment Unit at Tameside General Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic experienced Band 5 or current Band 6 to join our team as a Sister/Charge Nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • The post holder is responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, ensuring patient flow, implementing programmes of change and generally supporting the Unit Manager in the effective running of the Unit.
  • Provide daily clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff in the delivery of evidence based practice.
  • Act as an aspiring leader with the ability to adopt a highly accessible and visible approach for patients, relatives and colleagues.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement with a particular emphasis on the patient journey and clinical outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills

Band 5 experience or current Band 6. Efficient, enthusiastic, highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A calm, diplomatic and caring approach and a commitment to provide high quality, safe and effective care.
