Job description
Purpose of the Job
  • To deliver critical maintenance support within a data centre / critical environment
  • To operate as part of a shift team ensuring 24/7 availability of all critical systems
  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical or mechanical infrastructure
  • To ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with site procedures
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on critical plant
  • Monitor, operate, and maintain electrical or mechanical systems depending on bias
  • Respond to alarms, faults, and incidents in a calm and methodical manner
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety and site procedures
  • Accurately complete shift logs, reports, and handover documentation
  • Work closely with other technicians to maintain business-critical uptime
  • Escalate issues appropriately and support fault resolution
  • Participate in training and development programmes
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills
  • Electrical or Mechanical background
  • Level 3 qualification minimum (essential)
  • Critical environment experience required (Data Centre, Hospital, Critical Infrastructure, etc.)
  • Strong technical knowledge and fault-finding capability
  • Ability to work under pressure in a critical setting
  • Professional, reliable, and safety-focused
  • Willingness to learn and progress technically
