We are seeking a Production Shift Manager to join our team manufacturing hygiene paper products.

As a Shift Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the converting floor during your assigned shift. You will lead a team of production employees, ensuring targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace at all times.
• Achieve the required company quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and meet targets.
• Coordinate with support functions to address production planning and resource allocation issues.
• Communicate with teams using visual management, deliver shift briefs focusing on quality, cost, and delivery, and gather improvement ideas.
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide guidance to team members.
• Maintain safe working practices and adhere to 'Standard Operations'.
• Address non-conformance issues, implement counter-measures.
• Motivate the team to foster a high-performance culture embracing continuous improvement.
• Strive to exceed targets in productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Report and respond to machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping.

People Management:

• Manage manpower effectively, maximizing key skills.
• Implement absence control procedures to maximize attendance.
• Oversee time and attendance in line with company policies.
• Motivate and coach the team for operational success.
• Monitor task completion and team performance.
• Promote high standards through personal example and team rollout.
• Ensure KPIs are met and report accordingly.
• Provide product expertise and respond to operator queries.
• Support compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards and policies.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Thursday Nightshift - 44 Hours per week, 7pm - 7am
