Service Technician (Civils Plant Machinery)

Are you a Service Technician or similar with a background in Civils Plant Machinery looking for a technically demanding, Monday to Friday role based on one site?

Do you want to work for a well-established, multi-million pound business, offering ongoing progression opportunities into their parent company?

This company, established in the 1960's now have a multi-million pound turnover. With multiple offices in the UK and abroad they have a global impact within the Geotechnical and Construction industries. They have recently taken on large projects, with additional projects forecast into 2026, and as a result are looking for a Service Technician to join their team in Burscough.

In this varied role you will join a team of 12 in the yard, working on a variety of plant machinery including piling rigs and drilling / foundation equipment such as Casagrande, Bauer and Liebherr machinery. You will be involved in fault finding on Mechanical and Electrical equipment, as well as rigging, carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance, sharing your knowledge with junior employees and acting as a mentor.

This role would suit a Service Technician or similar with a background in Civils Plant Machinery, looking for a technical role within a global organisation, offering ongoing progression and career development.

The Role:

• Working on Heavy Machinery including piling rigs and drilling / foundation equipment.
• Fault finding.
• Carrying out inspections and maintenance.
• Monday to Thursday (7:30am - 5pm) / Friday (7:30am - 1pm).

The Person:

• Service Technician or similar.
• Commutable to Burscough site.
