Overview

We are inviting applications from enthusiastic and committed individuals with proven leadership and management skills to join our rapidly expanding organisation as Service Manager for Interventional Cardiology and SPVU.

The Cardiology Department performs over 5,000 interventional cardiology procedures annually across five Cardiac Cath Labs. The department provides a busy emergency service to the West of Scotland, alongside elective coronary, structural, and electrophysiology intervention procedures.

NHS Golden Jubilee hosts the National Pulmonary Vascular Unit (SPVU). This service operates across two sites, with inpatient assessment, treatment initiation, and outpatient follow-up delivered at NHS Golden Jubilee.

This is an exciting time for both regional and national services, with opportunities for service development and redesign to meet growing demand and increasing treatment complexity. The Service Manager will play a key role in leading change in partnership with clinical teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead change in partnership with clinical teams to improve and develop the interventional cardiology and SPVU services.
  • Support service development and redesign to meet growing demand and increasing treatment complexity.
  • Collaborate across two sites to ensure cohesive operation of the Cardiology Department and SPVU services.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent, with specialist knowledge in healthcare service management and a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Operational management experience in a busy acute setting.
  • Proven track record in service redesign and improvement.
