Service Coordinator
Summary

Teledyne LABS are seeking a service coordinator to assist with the daily operations of the UK Service Team. The role requires a variety of administrative functions such as shipping and receiving of goods, monitoring inventory, and assistance with the processing of work orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Service Co-ordination
  • Requires ability to use field service software for the recording of field service activities.
  • Assist the service team with the processing of work orders to ensure accurate recording of work completed, inventory and invoicing.
  • Processing of shipping goods to and from customers ensuring all return merchandise authorisations have been completed for the tracking of assets.
Inventory Management
  • Responsible for organization of shipments from the US and receiving of goods into the UK warehouse.
  • Assist with the set up and maintenance of the warehouse for storage of goods.
  • Maintenance of the stock to ensure minimum levels are suitable to support field service engineers in the UK.
  • Communication with the service team to ensure smooth delivery of products and services to customers.
  • Responsible for the shipping and receiving of inventory from the warehouse to field service engineers.
Receiving
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and resolves such matters.
  • Work with carriers to facilitate unloading, storage and organization of products.
  • Verify incoming materials and perform visual inspection to ensure that all products are not damaged or deteriorated.
  • Report incoming shipments on appropriate software to allow inventory to be allocated to locations correctly.
Shipping
  • Develop and maintain shipping logistics to provide next day delivery shipping from the UK warehouse to our field service engineers.
  • Compares identifying information and counts weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers.
  • Inserts items into containers.
  • Stamps stencils or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes postage.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Arrangement of shipments to field service engineers.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
