A leading housing association is seeking a Service Charge Accountant to ensure accurate and transparent service charge calculations. This role involves producing reports, liaising across departments, and ensuring compliance with legislation. The ideal candidate will have experience in service charge calculation, advanced Excel skills, and strong problem-solving abilities. This hybrid position allows flexibility while contributing to a vital function of the finance team.
Salary: £40,000 pa
Hours: Full time (35 hours)
Location: Hybrid, with minimum one day a week in our Hampton Wick office

This role is responsible for reviewing, calculating and accounting for residential service charges across Hastoe’s stock, including homeowners and tenants. This role ensures that our service charges remain accurate and transparent, while driving improvements in internal processes and external communication. The role also ensures compliance with the Rent Standard.

We are looking for a Service Charge Accountant with experience in service charge calculation and/or data analysis and review, and excellent Excel skills. You will need to be highly organised, able to work independently, build relationships across the organisation and manage competing priorities.

You will be primarily working within the Finance Team, but will naturally liaise with colleagues throughout the business, ensuring that your work remains varied and interesting.
Annual Leave: Starting at 26 days, plus bank holidays and 1.5 days complimentary leave, along with the option to purchase additional leave.
Enhanced Pension: Hastoe's employer contributions start at 5% and are based on matching of your own contribution level, plus 2%, up to a maximum of 8% employer contribution.
