Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor Aftersales role within the motor trade is preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable.

Job description

We’re looking for a confident, customer-focusedService Advisorto become a key part of our skilled and friendly team at our busy Birmingham site.

Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 7.00 am to 4.30 pm, i.e. 45 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid).

Salary:Negotiable, will be discussed at interview stage

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a professional, friendly manner and act as the main point of contact throughout their service or repair.
  • Book in vehicles for service, repair, and MOT using internal systems.
  • Provide clear explanations of work required, costs, and timescales.
  • Keep customers updated on progress and communicate any additional work required.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare accurate job cards and ensure technicians have all required information.
  • Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion to meet customer expectations.
  • Liaise with the workshop team to schedule workload efficiently.
  • Check completed work, raising any issues with the Service Manager.
  • Assist with ensuring key steps have been taken to assist with achieving KPIs.

Ideally, we are looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor Aftersales role within the motor trade (preferred).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Confident IT user
  • Full UK driving licence (Desirable).
