Role

We’re seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic lawyer to join our EMEA Legal Department as Counsel in our Markets Legal team supporting our Execution Services client platform which encompass our Global Markets Trading and Buy Side Trading Solutions.

This role is based in the United Kingdom (London or Manchester).

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary legal coverage to our FX, Fixed Income & Equities sales and trading business and support resource needs across our Execution Services client platform.
  • Support new client business and execution of strategic goals through the provision of practical and commercial legal advice and solutions.
  • Draft, review and conclude contract negotiations efficiently with clients and third parties.
  • Advise and support business in product innovation and change program in line with law & regulation
  • Stay ahead of legal and regulatory developments to support the business in managing legal and regulatory risks effectively
  • Collaborate actively across legal department and functions to support firm wide initiatives and client mandates.
  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing and support legal department wide initiatives.
Requirements
  • A qualified solicitor or barrister of 6+ years PQE with relevant experience gained from a leading law firm or financial institution
  • Sound understanding of fixed income, equities or derivatives products and application of key regulatory requirements
  • Strong legal (advisory, drafting, negotiations) skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities and expectations
  • Commercial, practical and flexible attitude
  • Collaborative and a strong communicator
  • Curious, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and growth
