Position : Senior Transport Planner

Location : Felixstowe

Salary : £40,000 - £50,000

Overview

Due to continued expansion across their UK network, our client a Logistics specialist is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to take a lead role within their busy Felixstowe operation.

Role Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day planning for vehicles operating from Felixstowe, London Gateway, Peterborough, and Southampton.
  • Manage a designated fleet, ensuring optimal utilisation, revenue performance, and strong customer service.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with drivers, providing clear communication and operational support.
  • Take ownership of live operational issues, resolving challenges quickly to maintain service continuity.
  • Ensure all VBS bookings are completed accurately and in line with port requirements.

Travel between depots when necessary, including routine visits to the Southampton site.

Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in transport planning, including a minimum of 2 years in a senior or lead-planning position.
  • Proven background in supervising or mentoring planners
  • Strong ability to manage complex planning workloads
  • Solid understanding of UK ports, container operations, and VBS processes....
