About the Home & Organisation

Supports young people aged 8‑18 with emotional and behavioural needs, focused on trauma‑informed practice, stability, routine and therapeutic care. Part of a wider regional network of children’s homes, offering strong peer support and additional professional guidance. Encourages independence, emotional development and positive life choices. About the Role
  • Lead shifts and guide your team through daily routines and challenges.
  • Provide consistent, nurturing, trauma‑informed support to young people.
  • Promote independence, emotional resilience and healthy relationships.
  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate recording and documentation.
  • Support the Deputy and Registered Manager with mentoring staff, routines and daily operations.
  • Ensure the home remains safe, stable and aligned with regulatory standards.
  • Be a positive role model, encouraging engagement, aspiration and personal growth.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience within a Children’s Residential home.
  • Level 3 qualification in Caring for Children & Young People (or equivalent).
  • Naturally caring, resilient, calm under pressure and able to build trust.
  • Strong communication skills with a hands‑on, team‑focused approach.
  • Flexible to work long days, sleeps, and weekend shifts.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
