Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK seeks a passionate and dedicated Substance Misuse Nurse. This full-time position offers a salary of up to £55,085 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team focused on individualised patient care and will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions in both group and 1-1 settings. Job description

As a Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
  • Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing modelBe able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
  • Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information
  • Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions. You will occasionally be required to support dispensing
  • Have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person centred approach.

Qualifications
  • Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
  • RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake.
  • Experience of working with opiate dependant patients.
  • Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
