Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join us as our new Senior Strategy & Program Manager. This flagship strategic initiative aims to revolutionize infrastructure asset management through an AI-driven digitally enabled services ecosystem targeting a global installed base with outcome-based business models. The Senior Strategy & Program Manager is a high-visibility cross-functional leadership role responsible for driving alignment strategic planning and end-to-end delivery of this complex program across business units regions and technology domains. You’ll be working with the Global Business Unit Strategy defining and owning the global digital service strategy content development ensuring close alignment with market & customer needs business stakeholders and industry trends. Develop scalable business models and monetization strategies for digital services optimizing revenue streams including partnership models. Coordinate the creation validation and monitoring of business cases and investment plans to prioritize funding and resource allocation for digital service innovation and growth initiatives.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead the comprehensive planning structuring and execution of strategic cross-business and cross-regional initiatives ensuring milestones and outcomes are met.

  • Define and implement program governance frameworks prepare content and facilitate Steering Committee and Advisory Board meetings track KPIs manage risk registers and report on progress and issues.
  • Coordinate the creation validation and monitoring of business cases and investment plans to prioritize funding and resource allocation for digital service innovation and growth initiatives.
  • Drive change adoption and organizational readiness by proactively engaging with stakeholders at all levels and promoting a digital-first culture.
  • Lead retrospectives lessons-learned analyses and process optimizations to enhance program delivery velocity scalability and sustainability.
  • Establish and steer cross-functional project teams; applying agile and hybrid methodologies facilitating coordination and delivery among commercial technical product and operational workstreams globally.
  • Connect closely with internal innovation R&D and digital teams to identify emerging technology opportunities (e.g. AI digital twins cybersecurity) managing associated funding requirements and integrating these innovations into the program roadmap.
  • Drive change adoption and organizational readiness by proactively engaging with stakeholders at all levels and promoting a digital-first culture.
  • Lead retrospectives lessons-learned analyses and process optimizations to enhance program delivery velocity scalability and sustainability.
Background
  • Proven experience (8 years) in global digital service strategy content development program management or business transformation ideally within the energy technology or industrial sectors.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working in a global matrixed organization.
  • PMP PRINCE2 or similar certification is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
