The engineering team at Chainalysis is focused on solving the hardest technical challenges and building products that enable trust in cryptocurrencies. We’re a global organization with teams in Denmark, UK, Canada, and the USA. We develop a flexible and scalable data platform to adapt to rapidly changing crypto and web3 landscapes and deliver value to our customers. Chainalysis is a leader in blockchain investigation and compliance software, building data platforms for blockchain, cryptocurrency, and web3 at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud-native data ingest and aggregation processes that intake gigabytes of data per day

• Add features to our product suite that detect activities for market manipulation, fraud, behavioral patterning, and more

• Build and improve batch-based applications as well as streaming pipelines

• Build scalable API services on AWS that handle thousands of requests per second

• Help the team to modernise our stack to operate at ten times current capacity

• Debug production issues across multiple systems and microservices

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and implementing cloud-native microservices-based distributed systems in a major cloud provider like AWS or GCP

• Bias to ship and iterate alongside product management and design partners

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages; we mostly use Java but value a variety of languages

• Strong technical background with extensive experience working directly on backend systems/projects

• You take pride in materializing product ideas into production

• Exposure to or interest in the cryptocurrency technology ecosystem

• Experience mentoring other engineers, leading cross-team projects, and driving design and technology decisions is a plus

• Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes is a plus

• A genuine excitement for significantly scaling large data systems
