Job description
Overview

We are seeking a Risk Analyst to join the programme's risk management function. Working closely with the Risk Lead, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of risks across the programme, ensuring accurate tracking, analysis, and reporting. The Risk Analyst will play a pivotal role in embedding good risk management practices into delivery teams, and will deputise for the Risk Lead where required.


Responsibilities


  • Support the Risk Lead in implementing and maintaining risk management frameworks across the programme.

  • Own the day-to-day operation of risk registers, ensuring all risks are captured, analysed, categorised, and updated with appropriate mitigations.

  • Conduct detailed risk assessments at project and workstream level, escalating key risks where necessary.

  • Produce regular risk reporting and dashboards to inform governance and support senior stakeholder decision-making.

  • Facilitate risk workshops and engage with delivery teams to identify new risks and strengthen risk awareness.

  • Ensure compliance with recognised standards, including ISO 31000 and Management of Risk (MoR) principles.

  • Provide clear recommendations on risk treatment, control measures, and contingency planning.

  • Deputise for the Risk Lead when required, presenting risks to governance forums and supporting senior stakeholders.


Qualifications / Key Skills


  • Strong experience in project or business risk management within large or complex programmes.

  • Hands-on background in maintaining and managing risk registers and related reporting.

  • Familiarity with ISO 31000 standards and MoR frameworks.

  • Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders to capture and manage risks.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate risks and mitigations.

  • Relevant risk management qualifications (e.g., MoR Foundation/Practitioner, IRM, ISO31000 certification) desirable but not essential.
