Key Responsibilities

• Managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects from the initial calculations to the final figures
• Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
• Performing risk and value management and cost control
• Advising on procurement strategy
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
• Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
• Allocating work to subcontractors and providing advice on contractual claims

Job Requirements

• Significant experience in quantity surveying, particularly in highways or civil infrastructure
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Proven experience in managing costs on large-scale construction projects
• Ability to interpret detailed design drawings and specifications
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Membership of a relevant professional organisation (e.g., RICS) is advantageous
