Job description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading distributor of Racking & Storage products that are looking to on-board a Senior Project Manager to effectively manage their projects across the North West and the UK. With a competitive basic salary and a number of other benefits, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong understanding of the Racking & Storage industry.

Responsibilities

• Managing high value projects of various sizes and values to fit customers’ requirements for racking, mezzanine flooring, partitioning and related products
• Working closely with customers throughout the project’s timeline and managing their expectations
• Visiting sites regularly to liaise with site managers and working closely with the installers
• Ensuring that all equipment, plant and labor are on site when required and are coordinated effectively
• Working closely with the Head of Projects and the sales team to ensure that projects run smoothly and efficiently

Requirements

The company is ideally looking for an individual with experience of managing high value projects within the Racking & Storage industry. You will also need to have run multiple high value projects at the same time. It is also preferable that you have a basic understanding of autoCAD. Due to the requirements of the role, you must hold a full UK driver’s license as you will be expected to travel to customer sites a few times per week. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in the North West or within a reasonable distance.

Their range of products includes pallet racking, steel partitioning, mezzanine floors, industrial shelving and workplace equipment. They are now also the sole supplier for a number of Warehouse Robotics products across the UK. Established over 50 years ago, the organisation is now making a push into Warehouse Automation so they can truly offer a complete solution to their client base.
