Senior Project Manager

WIKA Optical Sensing Ltd, previously known as Oxsensis, was acquired by WIKA in 2023 and brings expertise in optical sensing technology, particularly for pressure and temperature measurement.

Your activities

  • Plan and prioritize daily project tasks and resources to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Conduct regular meetings to review progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders, including senior management, for transparency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate project execution and resolve dependencies.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource utilization for adherence to financial constraints.
  • Manage project costs forecasts, timelines, risk logs and resource plans; identify any changes or risks, communicate those to the stakeholders, propose and execute mitigation plans.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues to minimize disruptions to project delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
  • Provide leadership and support to project team members, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing expectations.

Your profile

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including customer facing activities.
  • Ability to manage complex technical projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ability to manage project risk including technical issues.
  • Strong IT skills. Ability to develop information dashboards to communicate project status and metrics.
  • Ability to understand technical issues and manage exceptions.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans.
  • Constantly pursue performance improvement

Desirable Experience:

  • Tertiary education in engineering or a related science.
  • Project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI-PMP.
  • Experience in agile project management.
  • Understanding of and experience in product lifecycle management in a regulated industry (e.g. Aerospace).
  • Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Risk Management.
  • Experience in managing projects in a startup/SME.
