Job description
Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a Data Centre project on behalf of the developer, working client-side via a leading consultancy. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of the project from design through to commissioning, with full responsibility for programme, budget, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the client's representative across all phases of the project life cycle.
  • Manage and coordinate design, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Drive programme delivery, ensuring milestones are met and risks are proactively managed.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement including internal developer teams, external consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
  • Oversee budget control, change management, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, sustainability, and quality standards.
  • Provide strategic input into procurement and contract management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale Data Centre projects, ideally in a client-side capacity.
  • Deep understanding of developer-side priorities.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across international locations.
  • Familiarity with mission-critical infrastructure and commissioning processes.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction/project management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, RICS, CIOB).
Desirable
  • Experience working with Tier 1 contractors and specialist M&E consultants.
  • Knowledge of European data centre markets and regulatory environments.
  • Ability to travel as required across project locations.
