Qualifications

• Proficient in hydraulics engineering/design and have experience of using hydraulics analysis software such as HADES.
• Membership of a professional institution chartered or nearing chartership.
• Experience of managing/mentoring members of staff in designing relevant discipline aspects.

Responsibilities

• Produce cost-effective design layouts that meet specifications.
• Ensure standard practices are used and competitiveness is maintained.
• Assist in developing procedures and monitor their effectiveness.
• Ensure co-ordination of designs with all disciplines for contract benefit.
• Maintain files and records and assure customer satisfaction.

Skills

Hydraulics engineering/design

Experience with hydraulics analysis software (HADES)

Understanding of water and sewage treatment principles

Ability to rationalise designs

Good general knowledge of water treatment aspects

Flexibility and data assimilation

Clear technical proposal presentation

Computer literacy

Driving license

Education

Relevant discipline Engineering degree
