Job description
Overview

Daxko powers wellness to improve lives. Every day our team members focus their passion and expertise in helping health & wellness facilities operate efficiently and engage their members.

Whether a neighborhood yoga studio, a franchise with locations in every city, a YMCA or JCC—and every type of organization in between—we build solutions that make every aspect of running and being a member of a health and wellness organization easier and delightful.

NOTE: This is a hybrid position, working from our Birmingham, AL office 1-2 days per week.

At Daxko, we believe that people are our greatest advantage, and we’re looking for a Senior People Development Business Partner to help us take our teams to the next level. In this high-impact role, you’ll be both a strategic advisor and hands-on leader in Human Resources, with a focus on learning and development. You’ll work closely with executives and senior leaders to shape talent strategies, build world-class development programs, and ensure our people have the tools they need to grow and thrive.

This isn’t a “behind-the-scenes” HR role. As a trusted partner, you’ll have a direct line of influence on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee engagement across the company. If you’re passionate about creating meaningful growth opportunities, driving performance, and fostering an environment where people can do their best work, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

The Senior People Development Business Partner reports to the Vice President, Talent.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a go-to expert in HR practices, advising leaders on employee relations, performance management, engagement, and compliance.
  • Design, deliver, and oversee enterprise-wide learning and leadership programs that inspire growth and elevate performance.
  • Partner with executives and senior leaders to craft talent strategies that drive business results and future readiness.
  • Lead professional development initiatives such as leadership programs, manager training, and high-potential employee development.
  • Own the employee engagement strategy, including survey design, analysis, and action planning that leads to real organizational improvements.
  • Provide trusted counsel on workforce planning, change management, and succession planning.
  • Evaluate and optimize our learning platforms (LMS, Udemy, Engagedly) to boost adoption and impact.
  • Mentor and coach HR teammates, raising the bar for the entire function.
  • Partner with external experts and vendors to bring best-in-class practices to Daxko.
Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Deep knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and talent strategy.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and coach senior leaders.
  • Excellent facilitation and coaching skills.
  • An analytical mindset to measure learning impact and track workforce trends.
  • Ability to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on learning and development.
  • Demonstrated success advising executives and leading enterprise-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or advanced HR/OD certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CPLP).
  • Experience managing enterprise-level learning and engagement platforms.
  • Proven track record in large-scale change management and leadership development.
