Job Title: Senior People Advisor

Reporting to: People Manager

Location: Head Office, White City Place, West London

Contract Type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

The Senior People Advisor (Retail) will partner closely with the People Manager (Retail) and the Head of People to ensure a consistent, fair, and professional employee experience across the retail business. The role will work collaboratively with retail management, providing expert advice on HR related queries, employee relations matters, and people practices, while supporting the development of rewarding and fulfilling careers for all employees. As an experienced Senior People Advisor, you will confidently represent the People function, leading by example and maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times. You will be highly skilled in managing employee relations cases, offering practical, commercial, and people focused solutions. You will share your knowledge and expertise with the People Leadership team, contributing to the continuous improvement of people processes, policies, and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for Retail managers on employee relations matters, including absence, conduct, capability and grievance, escalating complex cases where appropriate.
  • Build strong relationships across Retail and Head Office, providing pragmatic, commercially focused people advice.
  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from offers and contracts through to onboarding, payroll changes, leave processes and exits.
  • Maintain accurate people data and reporting through PeopleHR, identifying trends and risks.
  • Support Retail payroll updates, headcount planning and budget reviews.
  • Manage day-to-day benefits administration, renewals and benchmarking.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, including newsletters and surveys.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Retail leaders to support recruitment and talent development.
  • Contribute to performance management, reward, succession planning and learning initiatives.
  • Champion company values, confidentiality and best-practice people processes.
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
