Qualifications

Overview

Senior Pensions Technician – Home Based. This role requires enhanced security clearance, with a minimum of 5 years UK residency. Please only apply if you meet this requirement. We are looking for 5 Senior Pensions Technicians to support the operations team on complex case work.

We are seeking candidates who, in addition to technical DB pension calculations, have a passion for identifying, designing and implementing process improvements with a focus on operational readiness to ensure a positive training and coaching environment and continual improvement of the customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Support the team on complex casework, high value cases and complaints.
  • Process all events in accordance with agreed working practices to meet deadlines and cost non-standard projects.
  • Lead on projects linking in with all key stakeholders within the department or business areas.
  • Actively represent the team in department and company activities and projects.
  • Test and sign off processes and calculations, ensuring work is completed in line with service level agreements and scheme rules.
  • Understand the importance of continuous improvement and collate and interpret data to identify opportunities to improve the customer experience, challenging current processes.
  • Design and implement process improvements.
  • Provide input into development and training action planning.
  • Adapt to varying demands and complex workloads with a commitment to complete tasks to deadline while maintaining high quality.
  • Participate in and promote good team communication and share knowledge and expertise with other team members.

  • Strong technical pensions knowledge in DB pension schemes.
  • Experience of manual and complex pensions calculations.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Excel, with comfort using VLOOKUPs and macros.
  • Ability to identify the need for change and drive process improvements across teams.
  • Strong team work ethic, with experience coaching and mentoring others.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and data-analysis skills.
