Overview

Clinical Research at MFT

Our Research and Innovation Division strives to be at the forefront of R&I in UK healthcare. We support over 300 principal investigators undertaking research across a diverse range of clinical areas, with more than 800 active studies, involving 15,000 patients, to deliver improved diagnostics, treatments and devices for patients in Manchester and beyond.

We are looking for a full time, Band 6 Senior Paediatric Clinical Research Nurse, to coordinate and deliver clinical research studies at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). The role will require working in the general paediatric research team. The post is based at Oxford Road campus but cross-working across MFT sites may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate clinical trial activities to support delivery of current and future studies on time and to target.
  • Provide specialist research and clinical care for participants and patients enrolling in a variety of research studies and projects.
  • Assist in the management of trial protocols with clinical investigators and sponsor companies.
  • Ensure data collection is of the highest standards and contribute to high-quality research while safeguarding patient safety and wellbeing.
  • Work across Research & Innovation to support research studies across MFT as required.
  • Foster a patient/participant–focused environment within the research setting.
  • Participate in personal development and the competency framework for this post.
