Overview

We are looking for outstanding candidates with a proven background in Occupational Health (OH) to join our Nurse led team. Applicants should have a registered nurse qualification with an Occupational Health Nursing Diploma or Degree, and several years of post-registration experience, with the confidence to handle complex cases. We seek self-motivated individuals with excellent organisational skills who can prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

In this pivotal role, you will provide clear, impartial advice to both managers and employees, significantly enhancing workplace health, reducing sickness absence, and preventing work-related injuries. As a Band 7 Occupational Health Clinician, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic organisation.

You will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering proactive services while adhering to national guidelines to ensure the wellbeing of all staff. This is a part-time position, working 24 hours per week over a 3, 4 or 5 day.

Responsibilities

Main duties of the job

You will join a small, nurse-led team that plays a critical role in the NHS organisation. You will collaborate with your team, independently deliver specialist advice, and drive your project forward. You will partner with managers and human resources to strengthen attendance. You are also responsible for developing reports, attending Trust meetings to represent Occupational Health and Wellbeing, and providing specialist advice or information.

We are a SEQOHS accredited service and as such, audits and benchmark surveillance is undertaken. Your role will be primarily undertaking management referrals but a full remit of NHS Occupational Health and Wellbeing is expected, such as venepuncture, vaccinations and advice in relation to this exposure of bodily fluids.
