Are you ready to join a talented team and shape the future of the Nuclear Industry? As a Senior Waste Consultant in our Nuclear team, you will engage in diverse international and UK-based projects, participating in all stages of project lifecycle from consultancy to turnkey solutions. Responsibilities include client interaction, bid and proposal development, and overseeing project delivery following AECOM standards for quality, safety, and environment.

We seek individuals with experience in radioactive waste management, capable of working independently and collaboratively. Our projects range from client consultancy to complete solutions, and we value high-caliber professionals with relevant industry experience such as:

  • Experience on UK nuclear licensed sites or knowledge of UK Site Licence companies
  • Operating waste management facilities or studying their use
  • Consulting and project management experience
  • Nuclear decommissioning or related studies
  • Facilitating optioneering meetings
  • Regulator engagement

Key tasks include:

  • Developing complex nuclear waste management projects
  • Providing technical leadership in waste characterization, treatment, storage, and disposal
  • Developing strategies, plans, and procedures compliant with regulations
  • Conducting assessments, risk evaluations, and feasibility studies
  • Building client relationships and providing tailored solutions
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and documentation
  • Advising on regulatory compliance and strategic planning
