Job description

Our client is a leading provider of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions to support the ongoing development of genetic-based medicine. An opportunity has now become available for an experience NGS scientist to join the company and support with the product development projects within their NGS platforms.

The role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Acting as technical lead on R&D projects for the improvement and development of assays
• Oversee project delivery, outlining practical resources, delivery criteria and milestones
• Lead the project team, providing hands-on laboratory support where needed
• Deliver project results and present data through internal and external meetings
• Ensure quality and H&S compliance throughout research (ISO13485, ISO9001, ISO27001)

Suitable applicants:

• Industry experience in commercial product development with IVD molecular biology products
• Proven experience leading commercial R&D projects, out-lining project scope and deliverables
• Educated to PhD in Genomics/Molecular Biology (or equivalent experience)
• Experience working to ISO13485 and ISO 9001
• Deep knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing
• Prior supervisor or project management experience would be beneficial
