Job summary

A global IT services provider is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to implement remote network services for secure customers. The role involves managing Proxy and F5 load balancing alongside LAN and security infrastructures, focusing on Cisco and Aruba technologies. Candidates must possess at least 10 years of experience in a complex data center environment and be eligible for SC clearance. This position offers hybrid working with 2 days on-site at delivery centers in Scotland or Newcastle.

Qualifications

• 10 years of proven work experience in a multi-vendor data center environment.
• Eligible for or currently possess SC security clearance (Mandatory).
• Experience in data networking with Cisco and Aruba infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data network hardware and systems.
• Provide technical support for both internal and external customers.
• Install and maintain network infrastructure.
• Prepare network diagrams and documentation.

Skills

Cisco LAN/WAN skills equivalent to CCNP level

Aruba LAN skills equivalent to Aruba ACP level

Experience with Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls

Complex routing protocols knowledge (OSPF, BGP, iBGP)

F5 load balancing knowledge (Big IP LTM/GTM)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective communication skills

Knowledge of forwarding and reverse proxy technologies

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
