About the Team

The Responsive Repairs Team plays a vital role in ensuring Lambeth’s housing stock is safe, well‑maintained, and responsive to residents’ needs. We deliver a high‑quality repairs service across thousands of homes, working closely with contractors, surveyors, and neighbourhood housing colleagues to resolve issues efficiently and professionally. About the Role

As a Senior Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving Lambeth’s housing stock. You will lead on complex surveying tasks, including diagnosing building defects, damp and mould issues, and structural concerns, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best‑practice standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out detailed inspections and surveys across a diverse range of properties.
  • Preparing technical reports, specifications, and schedules of work for repairs and planned maintenance.
  • Overseeing contractors and ensuring works are delivered to high quality, on time, and within budget.
  • Providing expert advice to colleagues and residents on building pathology, disrepair prevention, and property safety.
  • Supporting the council’s commitment to excellent housing outcomes by driving continuous improvement and innovation in repairs and maintenance services.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver safe, healthy homes for Lambeth residents.
