The Wigan Specialist Community Mental Health Team (SCMHT) are looking to welcome Senior Mental Health Practitioners (Band 6) to the team. These posts form part of our Community Transformation Plan, working within a core MDT and professionally registered practitioners. If you are passionate about supporting people and want to progress into a senior position where you can enhance your clinical skills and offer key working to a small caseload of individuals with complex mental health needs, then we would like to hear from you. This role will provide opportunity for the successful candidates to support junior colleagues through direct leadership and supervision, and also offers opportunity for involvement in service development. To support you with delivering this to others, we have a well established team who will offer wrap around support. Staff wellbeing and development is paramount and you will be fully supported within your introductory period. Your skills and development opportunities will be supported and reviewed regularly during supervision and appraisal. We are integrated with the therapies team who can offer further opportunity for training and development in this field.
These posts are full-time positions (37.5 hours), flexible working can be discussed. The post is based at Claire House in Wigan. The post holder will be expected to travel across the Borough to attend satellite clinics across Wigan and Leigh. The Specialist Community Mental Health Team provides care, treatment and support to adults with significant mental health needs, living in Wigan and Leigh.
