Senior Mechanical Engineer | Location: Essex | Salary: Up to 55k

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience delivering safety–critical structures. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing large–scale, multi–million–pound projects across diverse sectors, with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation in the built environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in projects from design to installation, ensuring all deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines, liaising closely with clients, architects, and consultant teams to develop the best engineering solutions.
  • Manage and mentor engineering teams, providing technical guidance and supporting professional development.
  • Conduct site surveys
  • Support project bidding activities, including client requirement assessments, concept development, value engineering, cost estimating, and schedule generation.
  • Plan resources effectively to meet project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the design
  • Strong problem–solving and innovative thinking
  • Strong documentation skills with ability to prepare reports and technical submissions for third–party approval.
