Role Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Orano Limited, you will deliver and manage technical studies and projects, providing expertise from conceptual design through construction and commissioning. You will work on mechanical processes, handling systems, powder technologies, and mechanical dismantling in high active environments and gloveboxes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical processes and produce deliverables such as flow diagrams, drawings, P&IDs, technical notes, and specifications.
  • Conduct technical studies for mechanical handling, powder processing, and heavy transfer systems.
  • Collaborate with Orano experts and manage contractor follow up.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • 6+ years' experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in nuclear or regulated sectors.
  • Experience in engineering design, technical studies, and project delivery.
  • Full member or working towards chartership of a relevant professional body.
  • Recognised Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Ability to hold SC UK Security Clearance.
