Overview

Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Medical Devices. A medical devices company based in Cambridgeshire is looking for a senior manufacturing / new product introduction engineer to join their fledgling team and help take their first products from development through to production. The company is aiming to transform the lives of patients by providing a step-change in real-time personalised health information via their novel sensor technology.

Responsibilities
  • Take lead on manufacturing process development, control each stage of the process, and plan experimental work with prototypes to identify where improvements can be made to the product and processes.
  • Assess manufacturing quality and support design for manufacture as products are developed, including modelling product costs, identifying potential suppliers, and supporting supplier audits.
  • Apply knowledge to design verification activities, including procuring prototypes for testing and specifying and validating jigs and fixtures.
Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with design and manufacturing; ideally with an understanding of ISO13485 and GMP.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing process improvement methodologies is advantageous.
  • Good network of CMOs and tooling specialists is beneficial.
