Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Work Transfers

Location: Wolverhampton + regular international travel (mainly East Asia, occasional travel across Europe)

Type: 24-month contract (potential extension)

Rates: PAYE £45 / hr + £6.54 holiday pay | Umbrella £61.36 / hr

Morson is currently recruiting an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our aerospace manufacturing client in Wolverhampton.

This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in global manufacturing work transfers , ensuring that production capability, quality, and efficiency are successfully maintained as machining operations are relocated between international sites.

The position combines hands‑on technical engineering with strategic project leadership , supporting the successful in‑load of machining and assembly processes from global facilities — primarily based in East Asia (Singapore) — into the client's UK operation.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the design and implementation of manufacturing transfer plans.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of machining and assembly process transfers.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and production guidelines.
  • Provide technical oversight and support during the in‑load phase.
