About the role

We want a Senior Manager – AI Strategy to build and lead the future of AI for the Credit Cards business, focusing on Generative and Agentic AI. The position involves aligning AI efforts with business outcomes and the Group-wide Data and AI Strategy.

As part of the Credit Cards business, you’ll direct the Credit Cards AI Roadmap, coordinating efforts with senior leadership across the business, connecting closely with the Credit Cards Platform and Group Enabling Platforms.

Your role will be vital in deploying AI use cases that will deliver value and push our business ahead.

In this role, you’ll
  • Develop and steer the Credit Cards AI strategy, ensuring alignment with the Group Data & AI Strategy.
  • Identify, prioritise, and develop AI use cases, facilitating workshops and working alongside platform and business teams to centralise thinking and understand opportunities and challenges.
  • Connect across Consumer Lending and the Group to avoid duplication and increase impact.
  • Champion innovation through hackathons and initiatives that upskill teams and accelerate the adoption of AI technologies.
  • Coordinate the transition from proof-of-concept to scaled delivery, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams, business collaborators, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and shared objectives.
  • Establish and track metrics to measure the performance and impact of Data and AI initiatives.
What you'll need
  • Ability to engage and influence across the organisation with strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Extensive experience in Data and AI, with demonstrated success in developing AI strategies specifically within Consumer Lending and ideally within Credit Cards.
  • Experience in using Generative and Agentic AI to drive value.
  • The skill to develop strategic roadmaps connecting use cases to business outcomes.
  • A curious and outward‑looking approach—keeping up to date with advancements in generative and agentic systems.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and navigating evolving priorities.
  • Self‑starter with the initiative to advance work independently and collaboratively.
