Senior Legal PA

Larbey Evans is partnering with its international law firm client to hire a tech-savvy and highly organised Legal PA on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

  • Salary to £49,000
  • 12-month fixed-term contract
  • Hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 days remote)

This role is primarily a Partner focused role, supporting senior stakeholders in the Criminal & Regulatory Defence department. We are seeking candidates who bring a deep understanding of industry standards, outstanding time management skills, and exceptional attention to detail.

Senior Legal PA Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a first point of contact on behalf of the fee earners
  • Proactive and advanced calendar management for assigned fee earners
  • Supporting fee earners with the smooth running of the client / matter lifecycle
  • Assisting fee earners to ensure compliance with the Firm's documented compliance policy and guidelines, particularly around new matters, retainer letters, conflict checks, searches, CDD & KYC
  • Supporting fee earners in preparing content and presentations for clients and prospective clients, including organising business breakfasts, dinners, or smaller events
  • Full management of travel and expenses for assigned fee earners
  • Prepare, amend, and proofread documents
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the firm's billing systems
  • Supporting fee earners with monitoring and addressing unpaid bills
  • Coordinate the WIP lists and billing on behalf of Partners

Senior Legal PA Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Legal PA / Secretary at Partner level within a recognised law firm
  • Experience supporting fee earners in Dispute Resolution would be advantageous
  • Excellent IT skills across a broad range of MS Office with a willingness to learn new software and adapt to change
  • A strong team player, willing to take on work for additional fee earners and/or help with other tasks as needed to meet the needs of the business
