Profile

I'm seeking an experienced Knitwear Technologist (5+ years) to support the Technical Manager for a superb online business encompassing 4 × Brands on Women's and Men's. The ideal candidate will confidently manage product categories, build strong supplier relationships, and have a background in high-quality garment production across the Far East, Europe, and the UK. Experience in Women’s Knitwear is essential and an interest in sustainable fashion preferred.

The role requires balancing technical detail with a broader strategic view to uphold product quality and standards, working closely with Buying, Design, and Warehouse teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop graded technical files from design sketches.
  • Advise on materials, components, suppliers, and production methods.
  • Ensure product cost, composition, and quality meet business targets.
  • Maintain knowledge of sustainable yarns and fabrics.
  • Lead fit sessions and seasonal fit reviews.
  • Analyse fit, quality, and returns data to drive improvements.
  • Oversee AQL and supplier QC.
  • Approve yarn/fabric test reports.
  • Identify product or packaging quality improvements.
  • Support warehouse inspections and final shipment checks.
  • Ensure supplier and ethical compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
