About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Housing & Estates Officer to lead and support our housing management services, ensuring our tenants receive the best possible experience.

Key Areas Of Responsibility
  • Leading the delivery of excellent housing management services.
  • Supporting tenants to sustain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.
  • Managing complex casework and providing expert advice to colleagues and residents.
  • Ensuring compliance with housing legislation, policies, and the Housing White Paper.
  • Driving service improvements and contributing to strategic projects.
  • Mentoring and supporting Housing Officers and Assistants.
  • Representing the Council at court hearings, public meetings, and community events.
About You

We’re seeking a highly skilled individual with substantial experience in housing management and delivering customer-focused services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and mentoring abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to complex housing challenges. A solid understanding of housing legislation and tenancy management is essential to succeed in this role.

Specific requirements
  • Must hold a valid driving licence, have daily access to a vehicle for work purposes, and be able to undertake site visits, including access to all areas of a building.
  • Must be available during working hours to attend sites at short notice as required.
