A healthcare organization in Stevenage is looking for an enthusiastic hand therapist to join their therapy team. The role involves performing assessments and rehabilitation for hand therapy patients, including the use of splinting. The integrated Musculoskeletal Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic hand therapist ( OT or PT ) to join our hand therapy team based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.
A developmental from Band 5 to Band 6 will be considered for the right applicant.
The post holder will carry out assessment, intervention, including splinting and rehabilitation, and evaluation of hand therapy patients using a variety of tools and techniques.
Trauma referrals are received daily from hand clinics and Consultant teams within our Hand Therapy Unit. You will be seeing patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
We are looking for sound clinical reasoning and communication skills, and an ability to work well within a team.
You will have regular informal/formal supervision with experienced senior therapists and will work as part of the wider community Musculoskeletal Service.
You must hold a full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
