A leading, independent fire engineering consultancy, recognised for delivering innovative, practical, and cost-effective fire safety solutions is looking to take on Fire Engineers, Senior Fire Engineers and Principal level

The Opportunity for a Senior Fire Engineer to join a dynamic team, and work for an employee-owned consultancy that values employee satisfaction.

This is a chance to play a pivotal role in complex and high-profile projects, from concept through to completion. You will take ownership of technical delivery, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients, architects, and design teams to deliver cutting‑edge fire safety strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative fire engineering solutions.
  • Conduct fire strategy development, smoke control design, evacuation modelling, and fire risk assessments.
  • Provide expert technical advice to clients and project teams.
  • Review, guide, and mentor junior fire engineers.
  • Manage multiple projects to ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across disciplines, ensuring compliance with UK fire safety regulations and standards.
About You
  • Member Grade of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).
  • Professional registration with the Engineering Council through the IFE (or with another relevant Professional Engineering Institution) as an Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer, or similar registration in another discipline consistent with a IEng or CEng.
  • Degree‑qualified in Fire Engineering (or a related discipline) with 4+ years experience.
  • Proven track record delivering projects in sectors such as high‑rise residential, commercial, or complex public buildings.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, BS and EN standards, and fire safety codes.
  • Confident communicator with excellent client‑facing skills.
  • Passion for innovation, safety, and technical excellence.
  • Engineering Council accredited or approved Master's degree or approved further learning to Master's level (Desirable).
